Angelo Adamo

Angelo Adamo is an illustrator, musician and composer. He sings, plays piano, guitar and percussion but his preferred instrument is the Chromatic Harmonica, particularly in Jazz and Classical Music. Angelo demonstrated for the Italian division of a Harmonica manufacturer and currently plays and endorses Suzuki Harmonica's.

Recently Angelo recorded a Jazz standards Album called "My Foolish Harp" with Guido De Leone's Trio and also appeared on the Album "Memorie D'Italy" (Paolo Arnesano). In addition he has two complete works; QUANTA a 15 track album of his own composition (he is the solo artist) and also "Film Ciechi" which is a fun, jazz interpretation of a number of famous film and cartoon theme tunes.

Angelo Adamo has formed a jazz harmonica quartet whose repertory consist of his original compositions along with classic jazz standards. He performs the Duke Ellington classics in duo with pianist Riccardo Ballerini. Angelo is also part of the crazy group “I virtuosi dal pianeta talento” which plays a repertoire of the unforgettable Frank Zappa. In his classical repertoire it is possible to find transcriptions from Bach, Debussy and Faurè music as well as pieces written exclusively for harmonica, piano and/or orchestra by H. Villa-Lobos, Darious Milhaud, Gordon Jacob, Vaughan Williams, Malcolm Arnold. Angelo also work with pianist Noriko Morimoto (black belt of piano!) with whom I have just finished to record a CD of classical pieces written for harmonica; the Leopoli Philarmonic and the Alborada string quartet.
